Ever had a time in your life where everything is awesome? If you haven't, don't worry, it'll come soon. But, if you have, isn't it wonderful? Although it doesn't happen all the time, I've had multiple moments like this. To be honest, I've had a moment like this recently.
We live in apartments, so my mom always said, "When we get a house or land, we can have a dog." She isn't really a pet-person, but she knows my dad has always wanted a dog. She also said, "If we ever do get a dog, it has to be small and quiet."
I never thought it would happen, but I was proved wrong.
My mom's friend had had a surprise litter of puppies, and they had around 12 dogs in the house. Yes, when I heard that to I was like, "WHAT?!?!" Well, my mom and dad saw a picture of two of the puppies. They were brothers, and the only two left. My dad immediately looked at my mom and said, "Get her to send a video of them." So, she did. And they were ADORABLE. My dad then said, " Ask her if she still has them." And this was the beginning.
A few days later, my mom asked her friend if one of them was still available. She said yes. Of course, I didn't know this until about Saturday morning.
When we found out we were getting a dog, we immediately started thinking of names. At first, we were going to name if George Washington Feeny. I know, it's hilarious name. But then, my mom said, "Let's get to know him first, then we can name him. You don't know what personality he has yet." And so, we waited.
The next day, we went to meet the lady, and to get our new puppy. He was only 9 weeks old when we got him.
On the way home, we stopped to eat. Then my mom said, "His name should be Bruiser, because he looks like a tough guy." And that's how he got his name.
I never thought this would happen, but it did. Those wonderful moments will continue to happen, but not all at once.
